For those interested in undertaking the project module of the Diploma of Facilitation, it can be undertaken at any time after participants have completed Stage 2. Lots of different areas have been explored by facilitators in their projects. See some of the interesting topics that other facilitators have chosen below.
The purpose of the project is to forward your facilitation in some way. Your project needs to be of some practical benefit both to yourself and to other facilitators. It may focus on the individual, pair (as in coaching), group, organization or at a community level. The project might be something you are already planning for your own work, or it could relate to an aspect of facilitation that you would like to explore. Possibly something that you might like to develop a strength in. Or it could focus in on something you would like to become better at with the focus of a specific facilitation project and the support of a project coach. The project can also be creative and fun and you will have access to ongoing coaching from a Zenergy team member.
Project Outline
The project is in 3 parts and is estimated to take you between 100 -140 hours. The project should be completed within 3 months of the starting date.
a) The proposal (thinking, clarifying, writing the proposal) (~50 hours)
b) The implementation (~40 hours)
c) Getting the learnings and writing up the project (~40 hours)
10 hours of coaching is available for you with a member of the Zenergy team. Nominate your preference.
Proposal
The project begins with the submission of an initial proposal setting out:
- The project description
- The purpose
- How it forwards facilitation and your practice of it
- The time frame
- Key objectives
- The action plan
The proposal should be simple and succinct and no more than 4 pages. Submit the draft proposal in the first instance to Stephen Thorpe – stephen@zenergyglobal.com.
Investment: The fee for the project is $750+GST to be paid when the project proposal is accepted.
